Some of the headlines sound like they came from The Onion (“Lame parents won’t let Amanda date”), but The World Star Gazette doesn’t make up its news: it gets it from blogs.
As far as I can tell, the stories are culled by hand from a series of personal and topical blogs before they’re posted to the front Times-esque front page. It’s an interesting read and a decent concept, but we’ll see how long it lasts. My guess is that it’s pretty tedious work to work on this information by hand, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it becomes fully automated at some point in the future. Either way, if you’ve ever thought to yourself, “Gee, I wish I could see personal blogs of teenagers dwelling on their angst in a format that reminds me of my morning coffee,” then you’re in luck!
