The Courtesy Wave

If I’m driving and I have to change lanes in front of somebody and it’s clear that they have to hit their brakes because of me, I’ll give them a little courtesy wave… a “thanks for letting me in” wave. I’ve noticed over the last few days that most people don’t even bother any more. There were at least four times where I purposely slowed down to let someone in front of me who was changing lanes, and none of those times did I get the courtesy wave. I figured I’d at least get a wave from the guy with the license plate of “AVA GDAY,” but even he happily cut me off without any acknowledgement. It really annoyed me.

Do you still practice the “courtesy wave?”
