In the past five years, I’ve received three notices calling me for jury duty. The first time I was called for New Jersey after I had moved to Virginia, so I was exempt. The second time I was called to a court an hour away in a county that I had just moved from, but I still had to go. I went through the initial selection process for a corporate fraud case, but wasn’t chosen as a juror. I received my third notice this month for a court in my hometown, but I visited the court’s web page and found that all jurors for this selection were excused and didn’t have to check back.
I wouldn’t mind serving on a jury. Actually, after having grown up watching certain court shows, I’d rather enjoy it.
I’d like to hear some of your jury duty experiences so I can live vicariously through you until my time comes.
