Here’s a fact for you: all children born after 1988 may have never played with lawn darts.
Lawn darts were probably some of the last really dangerous toys that kids could get their hands on, and of course that meant they were incredibly fun. I remember quite vividly setting up the plastic rings on the grass, and then stepping back about 50 feet, tossing those heavy metal spiked darts, and hoping it didn’t hit the tree.
Lawn darts were yanked from the shelves in 1988 after three kids died from using them. However, some are still playing with fire.
